Here we go, just a Star Traveller on their maiden voyage in an attempt to escape and explore the universe.

This is my hobby blog! I’ll share batreps, hobbying sessions, finished projects and occasionally the odd man out; MtG, Anime watches… who knows?

I paint using oils, messy and fast. Mostly because they’re fast. I like to be different and that’s what took me down the road of using oils, but it fit really well so I’ve adopted it as my go to.

Dwarf Warmaster army is #1 on my list for getting an army painted and ready to go. I’ve played a couple of games and instantly fell in love with the system. I don’t care much for the painting, which is large enough to be intimidating and small enough that it really takes me ages to get a unit done.

I have been exploring cube-creation for Magic the Gathering as 2026 began. It’s been very fun and I’m looking forward to sharing design choices I make as the cube fleshes out. I’ve had an immense amount of help by a talented cube creator. You can take a look at his cube by clicking this text. The best MtG experience I’ve had, and I’m taking lots of inspiration from his cube as I design my own.

The goal of this blog is to have no goals though. A viscous meandering, an aimless jaunt. I spend so much of my time complaining about how fast the world goes; how fast it wants me to go. This is an exercise in taking back some control. Deciding that I don’t need to finish anything. It’s my hobby and I will choose to enjoy it how I please and at the pace I set.
